Cassidy Chan missing news was speculated as some mishappening with the teenager in Poway. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Chan and her dog have been found in Poway.

She was discovered safe around 7 p.m. with her family dog. They were found dead near their home in Poway's northern unincorporated area.

According to authorities, both are doing well and will soon be reunited with their families.

"We appreciate the community's outpouring of support, especially from the many people who came forward to offer their help in the search for Cassidy and Lucy," a statement said.

Furthermore, it said, "We'd also like to express our gratitude to the media for their assistance."

Deputies from the Poway Sheriff's Station collaborated with the Sheriff's Juvenile Services Group and the Sheriff's ASTREA (helicopter) to find Cassidy and Lucy.

Missing Poway Girl Cassidy Chan To Help Post On Facebook Story.

A 13-year-old girl Cassidy Chan went missing near home and was found unharmed close to her resident. She was found along with her dog Lucy.

The community in Poway came together to find the missing teenager with Facebook online posts and an individual search unit. 

According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, Cassidy left her Heritage Drive home shortly before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to take the family dog for a walk.

Later, she didn't return; her relatives reported her missing, according to Lt. Kevin Ralph.

Chan's missing from proximity to her home raises severe concerns about a teen girl missing from their neighborhood. 

Her family and concern are relieved from her discovery safe after 24 hours of being reported missing.
