What Illness Does Paul Sinha Have?

Paul Sinha was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in May of this year and has openly discussed his illness with supporters on social media on several occasions.

Parkinson's disease is a movement illness that affects the nerve system. Symptoms appear eventually and may begin with a barely detectable tremor in only one hand. Tremors are common, but they can also induce stiffness or sluggishness of movement.

Paul, who is better known as The Sinnerman on the famous ITV quiz program The Chase, said he felt "relief" after learning he had the neurological disorder. Sinha initially realized something was wrong when he began to have pain in his shoulder.

Although this isn't the first "stereotypical" sign of Parkinson's disease, Sinha knew something was "horribly wrong" and turned to Google to find out why.

After getting over the first shock and adjusting to life with Parkinson's, Sinha admitted that learning the news was also a "comfort," because he can now "own" the affliction.

Paul Sinha Health Problem & Sickness

Paul Sinha described his experience with his disease on Channel 5 late last year, saying that the year he received his diagnosis, 2019, had been a "rollercoaster."

In addition to learning that he has Parkinson's disease, the star married his partner Oliver and became British Quiz Champion Of The Year.

In January 2019, the quizmaster proposed to Olly on social media, telling admirers, 'I proposed today.' Yes, he said. 'And so another diet begins.'

He first told fans he was dating Olly in 2017 on the website GuysLikeU. It's unclear how the two met, but when it comes to quizzing, they're both a force to be reckoned with.

Dopamine serves to govern and coordinate body movements by acting as a messenger between sections of the brain and nervous system. As a result, people with Parkinson's disease frequently have difficulty moving, according to the NHS.

Individuals normally do not experience symptoms until roughly 80% of the nerve cells in the substantia nigra have died.

How Rich Is Paul Sinha?

According to sources, Paul Sinha is worth £1.4 million, but he is not the wealthiest Chaser; that honor belongs to The Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace, who is reported to be worth £5 million.

Paul left his medical career to pursue a career as an expert quizzer, and he soon began appearing on a variety of quiz shows.

He has been on University Challenge: The Professionals, Are You an Egghead, Mastermind, and Brain of Britain, among other shows. But it was on The Weakest Link that he made his debut appearance, where he was voted out unusually early - fourth out of all the candidates.

Mark Labbett and Anne Hegarty recommended Paul to become a fresh new Chaser in 2011 after he made a name for himself on the quizzing circuit.
