Comedian: What Did Janey Godley Say?
Following the disclosure of "obscenely racist" tweets by comedian Janey Godley, SNP ministers faced mounting pressure over her inclusion in a TV Covid health campaign.
A review of Godley's historical tweets reveals that, while she now aligns herself with the inclusive agenda of the center-left Scottish administration, this was not always the case.
The Daily Beast provided the government with a list of 20 blatantly racist tweets sent by Godley between 2010 and 2012 when she was in her early fifties.
The nasty tweets usually target Black American celebrities, such as Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg, as well as random Black people in the public.
Janey Godley wasn't just casually racist or made a mistake. She thought other people would think her racism was funny and she could make money from it.

Several of the more alarming tweets were made while Rowland was judging Britain's The X Factor talent program in 2011, and it appears Godley despised the singer's appearance and mannerisms.
"Fucksake," one tweet stated. "Is this not a kid's show?" says the horsey-faced black wimmin on Xfactor, displaying her tits.
"Kelly does speak like the stereotyped black Aunt Jemima who stands on a stool screaming 'TOM TOM' in the Tom & Jerry cartoons," another said. Godley referred to Destiny's Child's singer as "the black horse from the USA" in a third tweet.

Janey Godley Racist Tweets On Twitter
The details have prompted doubts about whether Janey Godley and her racist tweets make her the right person to lead a campaign to reduce infection rates and encourage people to take voluntary lateral flow tests.
Ms. Godley's #StopTheSpike commercials are still running on TV and social media today.
Janey Godley will appear on STV this evening, as part of an image rehabilitation exercise. 🤦♂️

Please never forget the vile racist behaviour of this infamous Scottish Nationalist, and personal friend of Nicola Sturgeon 😡
Likewise, Godley, who made an apology for insulting remarks this week, was paid £12,000 for her appearance, which came after she posted internet videos of herself impersonating Nicola Sturgeon's TV Covid briefings.
The comments, according to the Daily Beast, largely allude to Black American celebrities such as Ms. Rowland of Destiny's Child, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg.

Did Janey Godley Make Comments & Apology?
Janey Godley, a Scottish comedian, has spoken out about the historic tweets that put her career on hold six months ago. She argued she is "not a racist" while apologizing for her "very inappropriate and cruel" words on STV's Scotland Tonight.
After the tweets surfaced, the comedian's shows were canceled, and a Scottish Government Covid education campaign was canceled.
You can be guaranteed that if you or I tried, 'I said racist words because people know I'm not a racist' (surely Godley's best joke yet), we wouldn't be getting interviewed like royalty on the telly.

Before removing the public health advertisements featuring Godley, the administration described the posts as a "series of disgusting tweets."
