Alexis Murphy Murder Case Update In 2022
On 3rd December 2020, prospectors located remains on private property in Lovingston. Later, the Central District Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) identified the remains as Alexis Murphy on 5th February 2021.
The identification of the remains was not uncovered publicly until 17th February 2021 to allow Murphy's family time to mourn the loss of their beloved daughter.

Randy Taylor is still under custody, he was charged with two life sentences in 2014. His appeal has been denied by the court several times.
The evidence recovered from Alexis Murphy's car and camper suggests that 48-year-old Randy Taylor was guilty of the murder case. On 1st May 2014, he was arrested and put on trial for Murphy's murder.
Teen Alexis Murphy Went Missing Found Dead
During the investigation, social media star Murphy who went missing from Lovingston, Virginia, was found dead. Her car was discovered in a theater parking lot in Albermarle County on 6th August 2013.
The police announced that they are trying their best to identify images of a person encountered near proximity to Murphy. The following day, a suspect was later identified as Randy Taylor.

The police encountered Taylor's camper, where they discovered a strand of Alexis' hair. As Taylor stayed near a river, dive teams alongside canine units while conducting an investigation found a red sweater that was initially estimated to have belonged to Murphy.
The police found Murphy's remains later on 3rd December 2020 from a property in Lovingston almost after seven years of her murder.

Where Is Killer Randy Taylor Now?
Killer Randy Taylor who was charged with two felony charges on 24th September 2013, is now in a prison for his crime.
He was indicted with first-degree murder charges and first-degree felony murder and abduction as well as an unrealted grand larceny charge on January 2014.

On 1st May 2014, Randy Taylor was presented to trial. It took about eight hours to complete and Judge Michael Famble has presided over the trial. He has announced with two life sentences on 23rd July 2014.
Though Taylor filled an appeal several times, it hasn't been approved by a jury. He filed his second appeal in the Supreme Court of Virginia however, it was denied in February 2016.
