What Happened To Katie Pipers Face?

Katie Piper's face was attacked on the street outside her home in Golders Green, North London, by Sylvestre on the orders of her obsessive ex-boyfriend, Daniel Lynch, in March 2008.

Katie said in her heartfelt victim impact statement, "When the acid was thrown at me, it felt like I was burning in hell." It was indescribable, one-of-a-kind, torturous pain. "I've lost my future, my career, my spirit, my body, my appearance, my dignity – the list goes on."

"I'm left with nothing but an empty shell." A part of me has died and will never return. This is more terrible than death."

After the attack, Pipers had to wear a compression mask for two years and had 40 operations to treat her burns.

Piper has rebuilt her life and appeared on numerous TV shows, including a 2009 documentary about the attack's aftermath and a two-year stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

She also hosts the Channel 4 television show Bodyshockers, which follows members of the public who are about to undergo body-altering procedures and those who are regretting procedures they have already had.

Her main focus has been on the Katie Piper Foundation, which she founded to assist burn and disfigurement victims.

Where Is Katie Piper Ex Boyfriend Daniel Lynch Now?

Katie Piper Ex-Boyfriend Daniel Lynch is currently incarcerated, serving his sentence. 

Katie began a relationship with Daniel Lynch in February 2008 after messaging on Facebook. But, just two weeks into their relationship, Katie started to have doubts, and he later assaulted her in a London hotel room.

Katie was rushed to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for emergency treatment following Daniel's ordered acid attack, as the acid had severely burned her face and blinded her in her left eye.

Pipers were placed in an induced coma for 12 days and required skin graft procedures.

The attack was captured on CCTV, and Sylvestre, who threw the acid at Katie, was arrested shortly after.

Daniel, now 44, was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 16 years.

Is Daniel Lynch In Jail In 2022?

Yes, Daniel Lynch is still imprisoned in 2022 and will not be eligible for release until 2025.
