In 2017, the two met through common acquaintances and have been dating for a year. Carter's sister-in-law oversaw the ceremony, while her brother Jeff Carter gave her away.
According to People, Carter wore a lace-illusion plunging neckline and a dainty pearl tiara as she walked down the aisle. Her bouquet was a flurry of white roses and hydrangea.
