American Idol David Cook Health Problem


David Cook, the former contestant of American Idol, has not disclosed any health issues. The 39-year-old looks to be in good health.

While competing in American Idol (season 7) in 2008, Cook was rushed to a hospital emergency room after suffering from heart palpitations and high blood pressure. As per sources, he was admitted to a local hospital on the advice of a medic staff.

Later, David Cook returned to the set of "Idol" after his treatment. Unfortunately, his elder brother, Adam, who battled brain cancer, passed away in May 2009. Thus, he currently works as a brain cancer champion and fundraiser.

American Idol: What Happened To David Cook?

David Cook's self-titled album went platinum when he won the 7th season of Americal Idol in 2008. That was only the beginning of his musical career. 

Since then, one may not have heard much about the singer, but it's not because his career has taken a hit; there were several factors behind his disappearance from the media.

On 31 March 2009, People reported that David Cook was postponing his tour dates following his family concerns. His older brother, Adam Cook, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1998 and declared dead on 2 May 2009.

Cook confirmed his brother's demise during the "Race for Hope" awards address in Washington, D.C. on 3 May 2009, and said he "couldn't imagine being anywhere else right now."

Where Is American Idol David Cook Now?

"American Idol" celebrated its 20th season this year, and the show presented with its Hollywood Week. As a result, numerous recognizable personalities returned to the show as mentors during Hollywood Week.

Season 7 champion David Cook appeared on the "Idol" alums reporting for duty on the show, which was shot in December. And he seemed to say, and I always enjoy those opportunities."

Cook previously mentored artists in the past during the show's pre-ABD days and is always eager to help newcomers. "It's truly a unique experience to go through, and maybe I can help some of these kids navigate it a little easier," stated David.
