Bill Bourne, the legendary Canadian musician, reportedly died at the age of 68 following his battle with cancer. In late 2020, the multiple Juno contender and the winner got diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer.

His kidney began to fail in August 2021 as a result of cancer in his bladder and connecting tissues, but medical intervention helped him temporarily overcome the life-threatening illness.

Bourne's daughter Emily started a GoFundMe page called "Help Bill Heal" to help her father just a month ago.

Bill Bourne has not revealed any information about his wife to the general public. The musician remained private in matters related to his wife.

However, Bill and his wife gave birth to a daughter and son named Emily Bourne and Pat Bourne. Emily recently started a GoFundMe page to help her father after the cancer diagnosis which collected over $28,000 in its first five days.

Bourne, who was 68 years old, was born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. He began his career in 1975 and is noted for incorporating elements of old-time roots, country, gospel, and blues into his songs.

Bill Bourne, the multiple Canadian Juno nominee, and the winner has an estimated net worth of around $900,000. The musician has generated his fortune primarily through his music career.

He was a member of the string quartet Tri-Continental with Madagascar Slim and Lester Quitzau beginning in 2000, and he recorded four albums with them. 

Bourne released the album Voodoo King in 2002. Shannon Johnson, Lester Quitzau, Madagascar Slim, Aysha Wills, Eivr Pálsdóttir, Wyckham Porteous, and Jasmine Ohlhauser have also worked with him.
