As per the daily mail, Nina is dating Michael Stein, a New Jersey native. At the National Democratic Institute, she oversaw initiatives in Russia and Belarus.

Both Nina Jankowicz and Michael Stein are Americans by nationality, and their family has American ethnic background.

While little is known about her husband, Jankowicz double-majored in Russian and political science at Bryn Mawr College.

In 2010, she spent a semester at Russia's Herzen State Pedagogical University and graduated in 2011. She worked with Ukraine's foreign ministry as a Fulbright fellow in Kyiv in 2017.

She worked as a disinformation fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center and as the National Democratic Institute's Russia and Belarus program supervisor.
