Who Is Jordan Shelley From Seattle?


Jordan Shelley was killed in a car accident on I-5 southbound in the University District of Seattle.

Shelley was standing outside a disabled automobile on the right shoulder when it was rammed by a suspected intoxicated driver, who pushed him over the bridge railing and into the Ship Canal.

A vehicle broke down in the right lane of southbound Interstate 5 around 5 a.m., causing the incident.

According to Allen, the driver got out of the car and was standing on the road when a second driver crashed into the stalled vehicle.

The driver was thrown over the edge of the bridge and into the ocean as a result of the incident.

Man Identified In Fatal Ship Canal Bridge i5 South Accident

After being flung from the Ship Canal Bridge during a disaster, a man was discovered dead in the waters below the bridge.

The two-car rollover occurred just south of Northeast 45th Street in Seattle's University District, causing all southbound Interstate 5 lanes to be closed for 3 1/2 hours.

Jordan Shelley, 22, was one of the drivers involved in the accident and was later confirmed as missing.

A Mazda had broken down on the bridge when it was hit by a Toyota, according to the Washington State Patrol investigation.

Shelley, the Mazda's driver, was thrown off the bridge and into the ocean after the Mazda was hit by the Toyota. The bridge stands at a height of 182 feet.

Divers from the Seattle Police Department have retrieved a body thought to be the crash victim, though the identity of the victim has not been confirmed.

The other driver was sent to Harborview Medical Center after being accused of DUI.

Jordan Shelley is a 22-year-old Ethiopian-American who grew up on Whidbey Island.

He was awarded a coveted scholarship from Skagit Valley College, which covered two years of tuition at the University of Washington, where he was studying to be an anesthesiologist.

Jordan's mother stated that her son lived with purpose and gave "150 percent" to whatever he did.
