Natalee Holloway went to Aruba with her high school friends on an unofficial graduation trip when she was 18 years old. Her classmate saw her last at Carlson's Charlie's, an Oranjestad restaurant and nightclub.
Reportedly, Natalee Holloway left the club with Joran van der Sloot, the Dutchman, and his brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. She has never been located after then.

Aruban detectives undertook a massive search operation with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The hunt included American FBI special agents, 50 Dutch troops, and three highly prepared Dutch Air Force F-16 planes.
Similarly, divers conduct their search into the ocean for Holloway's corpse. However, her body was never discovered. Later, prosecutors in Aruba ended the case without any charges being filed.

Natalee Holloway's mother, Beth Holloway, filed a lawsuit against the Kalpoe brothers. Also, she chastised Aruban cops for failing to progress their investigation and interrogation of the three culprits last seen with their daughter.

Natalee Holloway Died, Missing Case Update
Natalee Holloway's parents watched somberly as a court pronounced their daughter dead in 2012; after more than six years, the teenager vanished during a high school trip.
During the interrogation, when the Kalpoe brothers were questioned, they stated that they left Natalee at her hotel and had no idea what had happened to her.

Authorities detained Van der Sloot twice on suspicion of conspiracy in Natalee's disappearance, while the Kalpoes were each jailed three times after additional inquiry.
The suspected Kalpoe brothers were each time freed without being charged with a crime due to a lack of evidence.
In an investigation, Van der admitted selling Holloway to a human trafficker but changed his mind afterward. The Dutchman is presently serving a term in Peru for the 30 May 2010 murder of Peruvian Stephany Flores.
