"Weed In Food": Bride Danya Svoboda And Caterer Jacelyn Bryant Arrested

The catering company's owner, Joycelyn Bryant, 31, and the bride, Danya Svoboda, 42, were detained for allegedly lacing the wedding reception food with weed.

According to police, attendees at the February 19 wedding were not informed that the food included Marijuana, and several felt ill.

An Official from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office told CBS News that they were called to a wedding reception with around fifty people after a 41-year-old visitor said he felt like he had a "drug within" him despited merely having food and wine.

As per the affidavit, another mother at the wedding informed investigators that her daughter felt sick during the reception. When she grabbed some water, a waiter told her the cannabis had most likely made her daughter ill.

What Happened To Guests At Wedding Reception Of Danya Svoboda?

After eating the dish, one guest reported feeling dizzy and vomiting. She thought it was because of the alcohol, although she had only had two drinks and stated she felt sick after eating the food provided.

When her sister had gone to the kitchen to bring her some water, a member of the kitchen staff, who was not the arrested caterer, reported informing her, "Well, there's cannabis in the meal," and implied that guests were guests aware.

The newlyweds were questioned about their participation in the event by police, who asked if they had "consented to or requested" the inclusion of cannabis in the dish. The groom allegedly responded by staring at the officer "for a few minutes with a blank face before fumbling through a 'no."
