Willie Nelson Health Update: What Happened To Him?

Willie Nelson has had a few health scares over his life. In 1981, while swimming in Maui, Nelson's lung collapsed.

Moreover, in 2012, Willie canceled a show in Denver owing to "issues due to the high altitude and emphysema." The long-time tobacco and marijuana smoker told NPR that he quit the former after two or three bouts of pneumonia in 2012.

However, in 2019, he had to postpone a summer tour due to a recurrence of lung difficulties. Willie posted on Twitter that he was sorry to have to cancel his tour, but he had a lung condition that he needed to have checked out by my doctor.

Later that year, he informed KSAT in San Antonio that he had finally quit smoking marijuana. Nelson explained that he mistreated his lungs before, so breathing is a little more difficult these days, and he had to be careful.

In addition, Willie also told that he is not smoking anymore, and he will be taking better care of himself."

Nelson has appeared to be in good health and spirits since then. He began his quarantine by spending quality time with his family. Moreover, Willie acquired his Covid vaccine in January 2021 and encouraged followers to do the same.
