Amber Heard used Instagram on 1st July 2021 to share a photograph of he daughter and the news with her fans. She captioned the photo, "I'm so pleased to share this news with you. I decided to have a kid four years ago. It wanted to do it on my terms."

Further, she wrote in the caption, "I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way."

The actress kept the identity of her child's father a secret since announcing Oonagh's birth. Later, she said on Instagram, to commemorate her daughter's three-month birthday, "I'm just the mom and the dad. She's the boss."
