Walmart New Truck Drivers Pay Range & Annual Bonus

Walmart is one of several businesses attempting to increase the number of truck drivers on the road.

Last year, the company paid a $8,000 sign-on bonus to truckers, joining a number of other transportation companies that offered up to $15,000 in bonuses to new drivers.

Truckers transport 72% of all commodities in the United States, and the shortage of trucking capacity has been highlighted as a contributing reason to the supply-chain problem, which has resulted in shortages and price increases.

Walmart's recruiting drive comes with a nationwide truck driver shortage, increasing supply chain issues and making it more difficult for products to reach store shelves.

Vice President Joe Biden proposed a proposal to increase the number of veterans and women working in the trucking sector.

People can apply for positions at Walmart by going to drive4walmart.com, according to the company.
