Ajahn Maha Bua, or just Luang Ta Maha Buwa, who is trending all over the web was a Buddhist Thai monk. Many Luang Ta followers believed that he was an arahant or somebody who had reached full enlightenment.

According to some reports, the monk was a pupil of Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta, a revered forest grasp. The monk was a well-known Theravada Buddhist instructor from Thailand's Forest Custom.

 Luang Ta was born in Baan Taad in Thailand's northern district of Udon Thani. The monk was undoubtedly one of 16 youngsters born into a wealthy farming household.
