Eytan Stibbe is 64 years old Jewish national of Isreal. He was born in Haifa in 1958 and raised in the United States until he was seven.
Later his family relocated to Ramat Gan, a Tel Aviv suburb. In 1953, his parents moved from the Netherlands to Israel.
His father worked at the Volcani Institute in Rehovot as a soil and water researcher, and his mother worked as a social worker at a mental health clinic in Ramat Gan.
Stibbe attended Ramat Gan's prestigious "Blich" high school and was involved in the Israeli Scouts (Tzofim) movement.
