She began her career as a production assistant on Star Trek: The Next Generation.

She worked as Ronald D. Moore's assistant from October 1994 to October 1995, and then as Peter Lauritson's assistant on Star Trek: First Contact.  

Nocifora worked as a post-production coordinator and then as a post-production supervisor on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Television/Film from California State University-Fullerton, as well as an extra grade from AVID Technology, Inc.

Nocifora had been working in the television industry since her time on Star Trek, serving as an associate producer for HBO between 2005 and 2007.

She had worked as a co-producer on television shows such as The Event, Sleepy Hollow, and Scorpion, alternating between HBO and 20th Century Fox (2014).

After a long battle with cancer, April Nocifora died in December 2021.

April had to cancel a planned trip to Everest Base Camp when she was diagnosed with cancer, so climbing the mountain and reaching the top of Everest became a symbol of courage and dedication for her.

Her mother, who was suffering from early-stage dementia, died in September 2020.

April took a storytelling photography program with Nobechi Creative shortly after her mother died.

She decided to document and track her cancer journey with the help of Master Photographer Gerd Ludwig.

April Nocifora was born in April 1968 and died in December 2021 at the age of 53 after a long battle with cancer.

She is the producer on Star Trek: Discovery, as well as the supervising producer on Star Trek: Short Treks and Star Trek: Picard.

Nocifora served as an associate producer for HBO from 2005 to 2007, in addition to her successful Star Trek career.

April Nocifora has kept her personal information private. Her mother, who was in the early stages of dementia, died in September 2020.
